Catena Media announced that its board of directors has appointed Michael Daly as the company's new CEO. Previously responsible for the company's U.S. operations, Mr. Daly will head the company effective March 1, 2021.
Malta-based Catena Media announced today that it has appointed Michael Daly as its new CEO. The decision was made by the Board of Directors and Mr Daly will head the company from 1 March 2021. Goran Blomberg, the company's interim CEO, will then take over as Chairman of the Board. In addition, Oystein Engebretsen is again serving as a member of the Board of Directors.
In a statement, Mr. Daly said it has been exciting to work with Catena Media's growth engine in the U.S. for the past several years . In addition, he found this new opportunity to work with teams around the world "even more exciting."

Since April 2018, Mr Daly has led the company's US operations. During this time, the market has become a highly profitable business . Prior to joining Catena Media, Mr. Daly held key positions at iGaming and casino industry leaders such as Executive Vice President for North America at GAN, General Manager at Automated Cash systems and Vice President of Online Gaming at SHFL Entertainment. Overall, he has over 15 years of industry experience and a track record of opening and managing profitable divisions in global organizations.
Catena's interim CEO, Mr. Blomberg, said he has great confidence in Mr. Daly as the company's new CEO . He added that Mr. Daly has a lot of knowledge about the company, the industry and is also a true leader. According to Mr. Blomberg, Daly's track record in developing the US market speaks for itself. In conclusion, he said that undoubtedly Mr. Daly is the right person to help the company move to the next phase of growth.

Mr. Engebretsen, interim CEO, added that the board is confident that with his outstanding performance Mr. Daly will help the company continue to grow . Mr. Engebretsen also thanked Mr. Blomberg for his commitment during the transition period. Mr Blomberg became interim CEO earlier this month after Catena Media parted ways with Per Hellberg.
