Ronaldo Rape Accuser wants $ 78 million to attack purported Palms Casino

A Las Vegas woman who accuses Cristiano Ronaldo of raping her at the Palms Casino Resort nearly 12 years ago wants 78 million $ in damages and other costs from the world's soccer icon. That's according to new papers filed this week by former model Kathryn Mayorga's lawyers in federal court in Nevada.
Mayorga sued Ronaldo in 2018 demanding beatings, deliberately inflicting emotional distress, coercion, deception and bullying a vulnerable person. She claims a Portuguese national raped her on the night of July 12, 2009, in the Palms penthouse after the couple met that night at a casino nightclub.
According to the lawsuit, she was later "forced" to sign a nondisclosure agreement by Ronaldo's "fixers", accepting a settlement of 375,000 in 2010 to dismiss her allegations. Mayorga claims she was "mentally retarded" when she signed the contract.
Ronaldo denies the accusations, describing rape as "a heinous crime that goes against everything I am and believe."
Damage for pain and suffering
Mayorga is claiming $ 25 million for "past pain and suffering", 25 million for "future pain and suffering" and 25 million in punitive damages, as well as an additional $ 3 million in legal costs and expenses, under new documents.
The 36-year-old teacher suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and depression from an alleged attack, according to her complaint.
The new documents also contain more than 60 witnesses, including Ronaldo's agent Jorge Mendes and Andrea Agnelli, president of his current Juventus team.
The $ 78 million is about Ronaldo's two-year salary. It is estimated that he makes a lot more money through endorsement deals with companies like Nike, Armani, Tag Heuer and even the online poker giant PokerStars.
Justified doubts
The Clark County District Attorney's Office announced earlier this year that it would not prosecute Ronaldo in a criminal court as the charges "cannot be proven beyond reasonable doubt."
Mayorga reported the robbery to the Las Metro in Vegas on July 13, 2009, the day after the alleged robbery, but declined to name the perpetrator or where it took place. Now she claims it was because she was terrified of the negative publicity.
Documents submitted to the German news magazine Der Spiegel in October 2018, he seems to be taping conversations between Ronaldo and his lawyers. In them, the person allegedly Ronaldo admits to having sex without Mayorgi's consent.
