Sports betting leaders look to the future at SBC Digital North America

SBC Digital North America Conference & Exhibition will provide an in-depth analysis of the next key steps in the development of the legal sports betting industry with the participation of some of the most experienced and influential executives in the sector.

Conference track Leaders in sports betting on 9 June, the opening day of the online event boasts a speaker lineup that includes John Levy (CEO, theScore), Daniel Graetzer (CEO of SportsBetting.com owner Carousel Group) and Joe Asher (former CEO of William Hill in the US).

As legal sports betting now flourishes in many states across the U.S., industry leaders face dual challenges: their companies are ready to expand into more states as opportunities arise, and they are trying to build market share in highly competitive, established markets. All while trying to meet rising shareholder expectations.

agenda for the track focuses on some of the events that will shape the maturation of the industry and dictate which companies will emerge as long-term winners in the race for market dominance.

Topics include assessing how product and content offerings can evolve to meet the changing tastes of bettors in the U.S., which innovations will drive operator growth, and whether sports gambling can become as popular in U.S. sports as soccer is in global markets. Levy and Graetzer will join a panel of high-level SBC leaders exploring these key questions.

There is also a panel looking at the impact of the recent trend on M&A in the sector, whether the deals have the potential to change the landscape of the sports betting industry and what investors are looking for in their next targets.

Asher, an industry veteran on the M&A panel, will be an investment expert Matt Davey (President and CEO of Tekkorp Capital), Wayne Kimmel (Managing Partner, SeventySix Capital) and Lloyd Danzig (Founder and CEO, Sharp Alpha Advisors).

The session, "It's a Team Game," will shed light on the agreements between betting operators and professional sports leagues, how partnerships can increase fan engagement, and how leagues see their increasingly close relationship with the betting industry. The panel will feature senior executives from both operators and sports organizations, including NASCAR's Managing Director of Sports Betting Joseph Solosky .

Sue Schneider , SBC's Vice President of Development and Strategy for the Americas said: "The legal sports betting industry has enjoyed impressive growth over the past three years successfully launching into multiple markets, building a customer base and becoming part of the sports world ecosystem. As operators look to expand further, they face a new set of challenges. Their responses will affect their long-term success.

"The Betting Leadership Track at SBC Digital North America will provide valuable insights into many of these issues, with perspectives ranging from executives at global gambling powerhouses to the rising stars of competitive betting brands, along with input from the broader sports industry and investment experts ".

The opening day of the event will also feature conference tracks on Regulation, Marketing and Affiliation, and Products and Innovation, while content on day two covers gaming leadership, responsible gaming, payments and standards.

In addition to the conference , delegates can expect to see the latest bookmaking, gambling and payment products on display in an interactive exhibition, as well as taking part in a programme of themed roundtable meetings that facilitate networking with those with common business interests.
