BetMGM Poker prepares to play online in Michigan in February

BetMGM to launch online poker in Michigan

A market leading bookmaking and gambling company, BetMGM, may soon compete with PokerStars in Michigan's regulated online market . According to Pokerfuse , Entain and MGM Resorts will launch an online poker game in the Wolverine State. Premiere is expected within the next 3 weeks and will be operated under the BetMGM brand.

Last month, the company launched in this state, sports betting and online casino services . Any player who has already registered and verified their BetMGM account in Michigan, will also be able to access BetMGM Poker after the platform is launched.

Before the launch in Michigan BetMGM raises net gaming revenue forecast (NGR) . Initially, in October, the company announced NGR expectations of $150-160 million. However, in January, BetMGM increased that number by more than 10%, expecting an NGR between $175 and $180 million .

The long-awaited sports betting launch ended on January 22 . Both tribal and commercial operators have shown interest in getting started and have obtained licenses. Although not yet a month old, there are already high hopes with the Michigan market.

Except for Michigan, BetMGM also plans to in the near future launch its online poker service in Pennsylvania . In October last year, the operator received approval for online gaming from Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB). As a result, BetMGM launched BetMGM Casino for Keystone State residents in early December. Then, in mid-December, BetMGM has released its mobile sports betting app .

Currently BetMGM offers its services in regulated markets in 10 US states . These include Indiana, Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, New Jersey, Tennessee, Nevada, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Virginia. The operator offers sports betting on NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL and other sports.
