Pittsburgh Steelers Secure BetMGM as first gaming partner
Pittsburgh Steelers, a National Football League (NFL) franchise, revealed in a Tuesday an exciting new partnership with BetMGM, the brand's mobile sports betting app. In fact, BetMGM will be the first partner in Pittsburgh Steelers games, but it is far from the first partner in the entire league.
As part of the agreement, the Steelers and BetMGM will work on various fan-focused initiatives, including a pregame show Steelers Kickoff, team broadcast programs, in-stadium signage and various digital marketing assets shared on social media and other available channels.
Commenting on this partnership, Pittsburgh Steelers vice president of sales and marketing Ryan Huzjak he added:
"BetMGM will not only enhance some of our existing platforms, but will introduce new opportunities for Steelers fans.
BetMGM will also benefit from the agreement. As an official partner of the franchise, BetMGM will be able to use the Pittsburg Steelers' intellectual property in the form of logos and other graphic materials, as well as share them on social media and use them in marketing communications.
Extensive programming and fan-focused initiatives
More interesting aspects of the deal include, but are not limited to, daily and weekly media including "The Point After," "Players Show," "Preview Show" and "In the Locker Room Show with Tunch & Wolf" designed to bring closeted fans to their favorite team.
There will be many other initiatives, including a TV spot during the weekly press conference Mike Tomlin held on Tuesdays. Two other programming opportunities include the Steelers Weekly and Mike Tomlin programs.
The exciting fan initiative includes a "Decade of Black and Gold" that will determine one winner, who will then receive two club-level season tickets and two special VIP Hospitality Tent Passes available for 10 years, so the lucky winner may never miss a game if they choose not to.
Matt Prevost, Chief Revenue Officer at BetMGM, was equally excited about the news, arguing that Steelers Nation is one of the NFL's most active and passionate fans. Prevost said that at this point, he can't think of another great partner to work with in the NFL.
Speaking of partnerships, BetMGM already has multiple strategic agreements with many NFL franchises such as the Denver Broncos, Detroit Lions , Tennessee Titans and Las Vegas Raiders .
The company has been quite busy on all fronts, rolling out the red carpet for BetMGM applications in Tennessee , Colorado, Indiana, Mississippi, Nevada, New Jersey and West Virginia. To further solidify its professional position, BetMGM secured the talent of Andrew Hagopian , former general counsel of MGM Resorts, and the company introduced a special player protection solution in multiple states yesterday .
In the meantime, the company is looking forward to the Pennsylvania premiere after receiving approval Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) at earlier this month.
